The web TV platform Yahoo!Germany delivers a diverse potpourri of video content via their web portal and now, with pilot Screentime’s help, Yahoo have created a Smart TV app for Samsung devices (models 2013 & 2014), that allows HD video content playback on Smart TVs. Yahoo!Germany continues its long-standing relationship with the Hamburg based agency group. At present pilot entertainment has developed and produced five seasons of the popular web TV format “life & harmony”, which is available on the Yahoo!Germany portal. Aside from “life & harmony” content, such channels as news, science, advice, crime & mystery, stars and daily horoscope are offered as video content. Now all of this video content is available in “lean back” mode on the television. Yahoo! Germany is among the first customers of pilot Screentime. Since its launch two years ago, pilot Screentime has developed various Smart TV applications for Gruner + Jahr, including the Google-TV app for the news magazine “Stern”. Additional projects for both national and international customers are in development.
